This course-based research project explored how Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) systems can be adapted for high-speed e-bike crossing scenarios under C-NCAP protocols. We extended an existing POMDP-based collision-avoidance model by incorporating object classification, a feature-based state representation, and dynamic risk thresholds for fast-moving road users. Simulation results showed improved braking intervention and a lower collision probability compared with the baseline Euro-NCAP-oriented model.
