In this project, I conducted a literature review on brain-inspired computing, focusing on biologically plausible learning and the credit assignment problem in deep and recurrent networks. I examined the limitations of existing learning paradigms for brain-inspired and neuromorphic systems, with particular emphasis on the challenge of achieving biologically grounded and energy-efficient computation. By synthesizing ideas from neuroscience, machine learning, and computer architecture, I developed a research proposal for new approaches to credit assignment in brain-inspired computing.
